Cozy Holiday Cottages began in February 2019 with a simple idea - to offer guests a more personal and friendly way to discover and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales.

Founded by Jon, an animal-loving Yorkshireman with a passion for the countryside, property and hospitality, the business grew from many years of experience in the industry, beginning in 2002 when Jon worked on campsites in France. In early 2023, Kitty joined the business, bringing experience from education and corporate organisations, together with her strong administrative and organisational skills. Together, we're a small but dedicated team who genuinely care about what we do.

Being an independent business is incredibly important to us. We know our cottages, we know the areas in which they're located and, most importantly, we care about our guests and the experience they have with us.

As animal lovers ourselves, we know how difficult it can be to find holiday accommodation where everyone is genuinely welcome – especially when your family includes multiple dogs! That's why all of our cottages are dog-friendly and we welcome multiple dogs, with the number depending on the individual cottage and the size and needs of your dogs. We want everyone to enjoy their Yorkshire Dales escape, so if you're unsure which cottage would suit you and your four-legged family, just ask us - we're always happy to help.

From your first enquiry to the moment you head home, we offer a friendly, personal and hands-on service. Whether you need help choosing a cottage, recommendations for dog-friendly walks or a little local knowledge, we're always happy to help. We're incredibly lucky to live and work in such a beautiful part of Yorkshire, and we love sharing it with our guests. Many return to stay with us time and time again, which we're particularly proud of.
