Oak Cottage is a delightful and cosy Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage located in the quaint hamlet of Low Greenfield, in remote Langstrothdale (Upper Wharfedale). Deceptively spacious, this immaculate and attractive home is perfect for hosting small groups, couple's retreats and family get-togethers.
Sleeping up to 6 guests, Oak Cottage has 3 bedrooms - one on the ground floor comprising a double bed and a single bed. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, the larger of which has a kingsize bed and there is a single bed in the smaller bedroom. Also upstairs, there is a modern bathroom with a basin, toilet and an electric shower unit over the bath. So, whether you want a quick shower before heading out for dinner or to soak in a nice hot bath after a day's walking - the choice is yours!
The ground floor is the jewel in the crown of Oak Cottage! Large spacious open plan living accommodation with high beamed ceilings and wooden flooring with underfloor heating. Tastefully decorated with plenty of charming character furniture and features, in particular the impressive fireplace with superb log burner. Enjoy sitting in front of the fire on the comfortable sofa and chairs whilst watching television, or enjoy the lovely views out of the huge window and watch wild birds and red squirrels feed and play.
Within the living room, there is a large dining table and chairs - perfect for enjoying a morning breakfast or an evening meal. The traditional kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher!
Outside, there is parking for two vehicles as well as bike storage in a secure garage. Adorned with quirky flower pots and ornaments, the side patio to the entrance of the cottage greets you when you arrive. To the front of the cottage is a lovely open lawned area with bird and red squirrel feeders. There is an outdoor table and chairs with parasol where you can relax and dine in the sunshine and open air.
Oak Cottage is family and child friendly (yes - the free Wi-Fi is excellent), however, there is a firm 'no pets allowed' policy.
Oak Cottage is situated in a rural and remote location, yet only 25 minutes from the popular market town of Hawes and several wonderful pubs and villages. In the 'shadows' of the Three Peaks, the Dales Way Trail and the Pennine Way - this fantastic country retreat makes the perfect base for walking, cycling and biking enthusiasts - with miles of country paths, lanes and forest tracks from the doorstep.
