Great Shunner Fell

...and wow, was it great!

One of the most enjoyable walks we have done, absolutely brilliant. Very easy to navigate, you don't need a map - just follow the Pennine Way.

Never known weather conditions like it! Incredibly strong side winds blowing hail to the side of the face for most of the higher sections. The left side of my jacket was frozen solid.

Only disappointment was the poor visibility from the summit and despite there being a shelter, such was the severity of the freezing windy conditions and falling snow, the well-earned lunch break had to be cut short to head back.

Superb walk, great views and very challenging weather and had the entire route to ourselves, we didn't see a soul!
