Beckermonds to High Greenfield Knott.

What a thoroughly enjoyable walk from the doorstep of Willow Cottage. We maintain that you won't find a better view of the Three Peaks and there aren't many better views in the Yorkshire Dales.

From Beckermonds, we climbed the long steep hill to the summit and the gate that takes you over the drop towards Littondale. Here, we stopped for lunch and enjoyed the stunning views of Cosh, Foxup Moor and Pen y ghent, until the mist blew in.

After lunch we followed the ridge for 3 miles to High Greenfield Knott, stopping at the trig point and then continuing on to the cairn before retracing our steps back to Beckermonds.

This was a really enjoyable and challenging walk that offered some of the most beautiful skies, views and sunset that we have seen. The weather was kind to us, mild and dry and ground conditions were generally excellent - for November...
